Musica Academica: Brahms’ A German Requiem
Saturday 20 April 2024 at 4pm in the church.
We are delighted to welcome back this choir of Hereford Sixth Form College students to perform Johannes Brahms’ grand, seven-part sacred work.
Arranged and directed by the college’s head of music Tim Pratt and accompanied by organist Roger Judd.

Our 2024 events programme
With its own choir under musical director Roger Judd, St Michael’s hosts regular Sunday choral services.
Aside from these the church, with its impressive acoustics and famous organ, hosts several musical events each year, from the annual Music Nouveau in autumn, showcasing new local music, to local guest choirs, our long-standing seasonal visits from the renowned Birmingham University Singers in December.
The church has also in recent years been among the venues in Herefordshire Art Week (h.Art) in September, displaying the best in local crafts and applied arts.
September is also the usual month for the annual reunion of the St Michael’s College Society (the ‘Old Boys’).
